Background
I am an experienced wedding planner with over ten years experience as an Associate Planner for premier planning companies. I answered a call to branch out into celebrancy, studying with the Celebrant Foundation and Institute and being certified by that prestigious body in April 2020.
In my other life I was a professional ski instructor for over 30 years. I am proud to say I was consistently one of their most requested private instructors. Skiing is still a part of my life.
My husband and I have been married for almost 50 years. We celebrate our Golden Anniversary in 2025. We have two wonderful children; our daughter is a nurse, our son a police officer. Both our children grew up in the beautiful Coastal Mountains of British Columbia. We are also proud grandparents.
Ross and I spent over 33 glorious years on the mainland while also spending considerable time on the west coast of Vancouver Island. where our children grew up surfing and playing on the beach. We recently answered the call of the Island and decamped to Nanaimo where we enjoy all that Island life has to offer.
As a Celebrant I consider much of Vancouver Island to be my base and am prepared to travel. Please see my FAQ page for more details.
Certifications
As a certified Lifecycle Celebrant™ with the esteemed Celebrant Foundation and Institute, I am a trained ceremony specialist.
As an ordained minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry I am authorized to solemnize marriages in the Province of British Columbia. I specialize in spiritual, inter-denominational, non-denominational and multi-faith ceremonies.
‘Spiritual’ to my mind denotes anything that speaks to the couple and is meaningful to them. For example, if desired a ceremony reading can take the form of a favourite song lyric! Why not?
